Secrets That Are Only Known To The Swimmers

Hands-down, swimming is one of the most exhausting sports and activities you could have and there is no swimmer that has not a super-muscular body. The regular training, as well as the constant natural hydro-massage, simply make your body to look perfect. But did you know that swimmers can eat the amounts of food like no one else? Yes, because the water simply drains the energy out of you! For this occasion, we have prepared several secrets that are known only to swimmers! We asked a couple of them to share some of these with us.

Swimmers eat a lot

Absolutely true! Not that they eat a lot before the practice, as that would not be effective simply, but rather after the training. The water simply drains the energy and makes you feel weak after the good swimming session. Therefore, the very next time you see a big guy eating an enormous amount of food, he may be swimmer, not the gym freak.

Swimmers do shave their legs

A lot of people think this is a matter of fashion, but it is far from fashion. Although this is a bit unconventional and odd to some people, swimmers simply must shave their legs. The reason is behind the traction – when they have hairs on the legs, it simply slows them down and obstructs their movement in the water. For that reason, they shave their bodies all the way down, leaving no hair behind. Believe it or not, a couple of hairs can make them slower drastically so shaving part is a must!

It is much easier when your goggles just fall of instead of the leaking

Yes, the leaking is so frustrating that many swimmers confessed it is much easier to get away with the glasses that fall of, than with the problem of leaking. Once the leaking starts, you are becoming confused, as the brain’s natural reaction is to try to get out of water. It makes you lose time and start to panic, which is the last thing you need! Plus, the leaking is so annoying!

You get used to chlorinated water

It often happens that you swallow this water from the pool. Some people find it disgusting, but in reality, nothing can happen to you. The chances that you will catch a disease or bacteria are really small and once you get used to the chlorinated water, you will stop even thinking about that. In the beginning, everyone start coughing badly upon swallowing this water, but after a few cases, you get used to it and you stop worrying about it. Really, you do not pay attention to it anymore as it becomes as if you were drinking a cold water from a forest’s spring!
